Weber Shandwick/Powell Tate is seeking a senior digital strategist with agency experience to help lead and grow our digital healthcare practice. The ideal candidate will be expert in the many facets of digital, social media and content strategy as well as understand the regulatory parameters of healthcare communications. The position requires a demonstrated experience building internal and external team consensus in an agency setting, building and maintaining effective client relationships as well as leading client teams in the delivery of effective campaigns.

This is a great opportunity to develop integrated communications campaigns for consumer health products, government, pharmaceuticals as well as for corporations dedicated to wellness education and behavior change. The candidate will be responsible for leading multi-channel digital campaigns designed to educate and activate diverse audiences and will have the opportunity to help define the growth of our digital healthcare communications practice.

This position will be part of a fast-paced and creative environment and a team of talented communications professionals serving a diverse client portfolio. A major focus of the candidate’s work will be in the healthcare space, however there will be opportunities to contribute to accounts in other categories as well.

Responsibilities:

- Lead the development and implementation of digital campaigns, ensuring strategies and tactics are founded in sound research

- Develop and oversee digital campaign strategy and execution on accounts

- Drive strategy on content creation, social listening and monitoring, community management, digital paid media/content syndication and platform design and development

- Demonstrate a strong understanding of clients’ industry and business objectives in order to anticipate needs, generate creative ideas and effective communications solutions

- Research and share emerging digital and social trends to provide clients the latest thinking and recommendations

- Support junior staff career development by working with team members to continually develop critical skills

- Lead new business development efforts, crafting proposals and pitching


Qualifications:

- 5-8 years of experience in digital healthcare communications strategy, preferably leading digital accounts in an fast paced agency setting

- Understanding of the latest digital trends and evolving approaches for effective content development and syndication

- Demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful online marketing and social media programs, with experience in brand and channel planning, analytics and emerging platforms

- Focused on execution and management; efficient account manager who is comfortable scoping projects, managing teams and budget responsibilities in a deadline-focused environment

- Proficient managing multiple projects across many clients at one time

- Significant value placed on experience with user experience research processes, creative content and design production, managing website and application development projects

- Ability to build internal and external team and stakeholder consensus in order to become trusted client advisor

- Strong writing, presentation and client-facing communications skills

- Experience managing and mentoring staff members

- A fun, collaborative attitude
