We are currently seeking a Publicist to execute publicity campaigns for approximately 10-12 DK titles each season. This person will be responsible for writing press materials, researching media outlets, pitching books to the media and securing press coverage, and handling all award submissions for DK titles.

Additional responsibilities include:
1. Attending weekly publicity, sales, and marketing meetings
2. Processing invoices and track departmental expenses against set budgets
3. Attending local bookstore and press events when necessary
4. Assisting senior members of the department on their projects

- 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience
- At least 2 years of book publicity experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Proficiency with various social media platforms
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the year domestically via plane, train, and/or car
- Experience with Publicity Assistant and SAP a plus
