Project Manager, USA TODAY Marketing Successful candidate will be responsible for the development, planning and implementation of marketing efforts to support and drive strategic goals of the USA TODAY brand across platforms. Ensures that marketing materials have impact and effectively position the product. Primarily focuses on marketing functions and is the liaison between the creative team and client communications. Acts as a brand steward. Excellent project management and organization skills, including defining and mapping out appropriate project plans. Ability to set deadlines and work efficiently with internal and external clients.He/she will manage day-to-day requests for marketing support. Conduct brainstorm activities. Work closely with creative team and directors on conveying the client's needs and follow-through on projects from beginning-to-end including proofreading. Will also be responsible for working with internal and external clients on marketing campaigns/projects providing ideas, guidance and maintaining brand marketing guidelines standards and policies. Tracking and managing projects from initiation to successful completion. Coordinate contests/sweepstakes working with third party individuals and interdepartmentally to ensure success of program. Consult with Gannett legal on all contest/sweepstakes. Requirements Bachelor's degree required AND two to three years related experience and/or training. Specific industry knowledge (Marketing and Public Relations) essential.Prior experience in project management and working with graphic designers is essential as is ability to conduct brainstorming sessions and conceptualize projects. Account management at agency is preferred.Proofreading skills necessary.Must be self starter with experience managing multiple large scale projects and has the ability to set and meet deadlines.Excellent analytical, interpersonal, leadership, oral and written communication skills with working knowledge and proficiency of printing process, digital and electronic production.Able to work in a team environment yet exhibit leadership skills.Ability to access and navigate database of jobs. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2007 and familiarity with MAC computers.
