POSITION SUMMARY:
Assists with the strategy, planning, development, and maintenance of various digital products, including subscription-based supplementary curriculum/classroom-instruction websites, reference sites, mobile sites, and apps. Responsible for assigned day-to-day activities of these digital product initiatives, from initial market research to product planning and specification of requirements to roll out/launch and ongoing product maintenance and enhancements. Also assists in the preparation of and adherence to project plans, budgets, and schedules.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Conducts market research, performs competitive analysis, establishes product definitions, and contributes to the overall planning, development, delivery, and ongoing maintenance of assigned products.
2. Works with Associate Director, IT, and Editorial, among other departments, to determine necessary work and coordinate activity scheduling and work flow.
3. Obtains Sales Team and customer input about product concepts, improvements, and sales force and customer training issues.
4. Works with Associate Director, Editorial, and contracted freelancers to create/acquire such original material as core content, multimedia, and games.
5. Works with Sales and Marketing to define optimal positioning
of digital products for purposes of Sales and Marketing programs.
6. Reviews product content and coordinates product testing to ensure consistency with content requirements, technical specifications, and desired functionality.
7. Prepares and circulates project concepts, budgets, schedules, and specs and, with the Associate Director, is responsible for the management of resulting projects within established constraints.
8. Assists with development of product-training materials.


QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s degree in elementary or secondary education with a minimum of two years of recent classroom teaching experience.
2. Creative with willingness to learn, grow, and share with a team of like-minded individuals.
3. High motivation. A self-starter who tackles projects and problems with enthusiasm and knows when to ask for help and/or raise a well-informed, productive objection.
4. Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills as well as highly developed organizational skills.
5. Basic knowledge of HTML, XML, and common digital publishing processes and tools strongly preferred.
6. Advanced degree in education or a curriculum subject area or command of a language other than English a plus.
