Your tasks
The Random House Publishing Group is seeking a Marketing Manager to work on their new line of genre-fiction digital-exclusive imprints: Loveswept, Alibi, Hydra, & Flirt (

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for all marketing and promotional activities for the imprint and its authors. The Marketing Manager will be primarily responsible for the following:

- Manage imprint websites. Responsibilities include regular updates, blog postings, and maintenance. Manager will be responsible to create original content as well recruiting editors, authors and others to source guest posts and other appropriate content as needed.
- Manage direct-to-consumer communications, such as email newsletters. Manager will establish processes and develop content for these ongoing communications.
- Manage social media presence for imprints and authors, as needed. This includes developing content for Facebook, Twitter, Scribd and other platforms; working with editors on original content for all platforms; assisting authors in developing and managing their social media footprint; providing analytics and benchmarks for all social media platforms; and researching and managing vendors, sweepstakes and social media tools.
- Manage video site accounts (YouTube) including all uploads and tracking and minor video edits/formatting.
- Oversee paid advertising for all product under the imprint. Work with the team to develop creative and branding strategies. Provide analytics and benchmarks for paid advertising programs, and scope out potential vendors, platforms and technologies to implement paid advertising.
- Create downloadable content for authors and fans
- Optimize product metadata and promotional content for products (such as backmatter)

In addition, the marketing manager will work with other members of the digital publishing team to:
- Develop brand strategies around imprints, authors, series and product lines
- Develop and execute live event marketing strategies. This may include attending and supporting author conventions, fan conventions or other live events. (Overnight travel for some events will be required.)
- Develop creative uses for ancillary content to create profitable digital products.
- Create scope and execution of additional digital revenue streams (i.e., ad-based and subscription-based content portals)
- Provide quality assurance tests of digital products and initiatives
- Manage online marketing software and tools

Our requirements
This position requires a bachelor?s degree and 5 years of marketing experience with experience in digital marketing, advertising and promotions. Candidates must demonstrate initiative and ingenuity in finding vehicles for meeting personal, departmental and/or Company goals. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, is highly organized and thrives in a fast-paced environment
