The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for leading the development process of the new No Kid Hungry Action Center, the web presence through which individuals find ways to get involved in the hunger issue in their local communications. Candidates should have an eye for efficiency and be skilled at managing multiple, concurrent projects.

The PM will spearhead the build-out of the Action Center, bringing the vision of the project to fruition. The PM manages vendor relationships and works closely with an Online Organizer that is dedicated to the project. The PM collaborates with multiple internal and external stakeholders to understand and clarify issues, needs and schedules, and ensures that all necessary approvals are gathered from internal stakeholders for all digital projects.

•Manage the project from a technical lead for the build-out of the No Kid Hungry Action Center, introducing an open-sourced element.
•Manages the relationship with the web development vendor, ensuring that the project comes in on time and planning site structure, graphic design, content organization, page building for multiple platforms, user experience, maintenance and regular updates of the Action Center.
•Works closely with an Online Organizer.

Reports to: Senior Web Producer

Location: Washington, DC- HQ

Duration: December 2012-March 2013

•Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field and minimum 3 years experience or an equivalent combination.
•Experience in production management. Ability to analyze available information for the purpose of coordinating efforts, planning, & implementing projects.
•Experience with current technology in the marketing field.
•Ability to work well in a team-driven environment, as well as on independent assignments.
•Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required.
•The ability to set deadlines and stick to them, and to communicate professionally.
•Experience with some combination of the following skills highly desired: developing/managing advocacy email campaigns, list-building strategies, online community building.
•Knowledge of social media platforms and their potential for integration into online communications.
