Head of Audience Development & Partnerships
Managing a global team, this role is responsible for audience growth for the Financial Times with a focus on building brand equity and engagement across print and digital platforms. The successful candidate will have relevant experience, drive and proven team building capabilities to manage this newly established team at the FT. Key to the success will be the ability to identify new opportunities, develop processes for working with editorial and commercial teams and to measure the success of initiatives against agreed engagement metrics. Responsibilities Content Partnerships: - Review current content feed partnership relationships and evaluate against kpis for traffic, engagement and reaching a quality senior decision-maker audience - Negotiate and implement new partnerships and content feeds, working with editorial and product development teams to identify potential partners of value - Develop the FT’s video brand profile with distribution across key channels and - Evolve current strategy for traffic driving from social media, and develop marketing plans, with specific and working with editorial and comms teams - Manage the Search agency relationship in the US, identifying where to invest in this channel and the editorial content that will yield most effective return. Product marketing: - Develop marketing plans and creative assets for product launches. Evaluate scope and use internal resources to understand the profile of audience we’re trying to reach and the ROI from this activity Qualifications and experience Degree /professional qualifications, in Marketing Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar environment Demonstrated experience in content marketing with a global brand in developing partnerships to drive traffic and engaged audiences through commercially viable partnerships. Experience of managing third party agency relationships including BTL, Search, and display. Highly numerate and familiar with reporting and analytics software search engines, RSS feeds etc. Excellent communication skills, confident presenter Personal qualities A team player - keen to contribute, share learning and learn from others A self-starter, with initiative to make decisions and overcome problems Ability to build and maintain effective internal and external relationships Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills Good analytical skills and the ability to think critically and deliver recommendations based on data and analysis A clear thinker, who will implement and deliver campaigns on time The ability to learn new tools quickly and accurately.
