The right individual will be responsible for planning, negotiating and buying general market as well as multicultural media (Hispanic and Asian). The candidate must have ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-pace environment. Strong working knowledge of various traditional media vehicles (TV, Radio, Print, OOH, etc..) and Digital (Display, SEM, Social) is a must. This position reports to the VP of Media. As a member of our team you will have a great deal of responsibility. You must have strong negotiation skills and attention to detail. We are looking for someone who understands advertising and has the ability to plan, buy and manage processes and resources. You will be constantly challenged and asked to manage numerous tasks concurrently. We are looking for a leader who can grow the company's media department.Knowledge of ONE of the following languages is a plus: Spanish, Chinese, Korean.Responsibilities:Communicate regularly to the VP of Media on new initiatives, ongoing projects, and budget issues;Set goals for offline/online campaigns and evaluate performance;Negotiate media contracts;Manage insertion orders for media placements;Proof all advertising before it is released to vendors;Responsible for the stewardship and payment of all media buys;Track ad placements and collect proofs of completion;Work with Financial Department to provide updates about monthly spend vs. budget;Research various media vehicles for local, regional and national campaigns;Compile proposals and make recommendations for clients based upon their marketing goals and budget;Oversee ad campaign from concept through execution to ensure proper implementation;Research new media leads to help grow the business.Qualifications:Detail Oriented;A strong sense of urgency and commitment to get the job done quickly and with high quality;Proficient in Microsoft Office;Experience conducting SEM campaigns is a plus;Knowledge of Strata software is a plus;Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects;Strong math skills;Good communication skills;Bachelors Degree;Minimum of three years of media planning or media buying experience;Organized, team Player.Please include a cover letter, resume and salary requirements.
