The Senior Marketing Coordinator is responsible for partnering with the sales team, providing marketing knowledge and solutions for WSJ. Magazine's advertising clients.  This position will report to the Director of Marketing for WSJ. Magazine. In this role, the Senior Marketing Coordinator will develop and execute category and client-focused marketing and promotional efforts for all advertising categories for the magazine. 
The WSJ Business Development group, organized by target market, is responsible for creating marketing strategies across all platforms of The WSJ franchise. Members of the WSJ. Magazine marketing team play a lead role in developing sales support strategies, marketing and added value programs designed to grow advertising revenues for WSJ. Magazine.
  • Providing WSJ integrated sales team with marketing knowledge and solutions for advertising clients. 

  • Assist in development of client presentations, marketing collateral, RFP responses; and custom solutions

  • Execute added value programs specific to WSJ. Magazine (The Note/print and digital; Travellux twice per year; custom email efforts for specific issues) each month

  • Handle all vendor bills/invoices for WSJ. Magazine marketing team

  • Execute comp mailing with Publisher's letter to client lists monthly

  • Execute retailer mailing to client lists monthly

  • Execute street team distributions during Fashion Weeks in New York, Milan, and Paris

  • Three to five years of sales development & marketing experience in a related industry  i.e. magazine or newspaper publishing, online, strategic planning department of media agency,  etc.

  • Knowledge of print and online advertising sales, marketing, and related research

  • PowerPoint and InDesign software presentation experience

  • Strategic thinker, strong RFP and presentation development skills

  • Organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage projects, programs, and budgets

  • Proactive team player

  • Bachelor's degree required
