The Role
Bloomberg's core web product group is seeking an experienced internet product manager to drive features across the Bloomberg.com and Businessweek.com sites.This product manager will independently and with their team drive the strategy, concept, and execution for features that provide the best possible media/news experience to our users. They will manage the product life cycle from planning to execution, and ongoing improvements to the infrastructure. We are looking for a candidate who has proven their ability to think independently within an internet environment and who has been challenged with many of the issues facing media sites today.

Responsibilities
-Independently and with their team drive product efforts for Bloomberg.com and Businessweek.com.
-Develop and manage concepts, business models, project plans, and roadmaps.
-Partner with the engineering, marketing, editorial and other teams to develop and manage products.
-Manage requirement and design creation for your products.
-Manage prioritization and trade-offs among features, user experience and performance.
-Proactively identify and resolve strategic and tactical issues.

Qualifications:
-3+ years recent and relevant experience as an internet product manager related to media, communications, news, technology or business services
-Excellent project management skills
-Experience managing multiple large data driven projects simultaneously
-Demonstrated success defining and launching high quality products in a consumer or media company
-Good understanding of customer-focused design and usability principles
-Results-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills
-Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
-Understanding of software architecture and experience working through the full software development lifecycle.
