BRIC is the community access television organization for Brooklyn. Its community media programs offer residents free access to media production facilities and equipment and low-cost media education through the Brooklyn Center for Media Education. BRIC’s community media programming also includes three programming initiatives aired on the 4-channel BCAT-TV Network: community-produced Brooklyn Free Speech TV; BRIC-produced, Brooklyn-focused Brooklyn Independent Television; and Brooklyn Bulletin Board, a 24/7 looping announcement service used by Brooklyn non-profits.

Purpose of Position: The Partnership and Acquisition Manager will report to the Associate Director of Community Media Partnerships and serves as a liaison with BRIC’s partner organizations, with a focus on acquiring content for the television and digital network.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
•Identify and collaborate with partner organizations to obtain video content for BRIC’s network. Ensure a consistent quality standard for content provided by media partners; assist with technical requirements for export.
•Oversee written agreements for partnership content.
•Work with marketing and distribution staff on scheduling and posting of partner content, and reporting on viewership metrics.
•Assist with other partnership projects, including non-profit grant program and free speech services at partner sites.
•Work with BRIC’s marketing team to promote BRIC partnerships; prepare marketing copy, plan community events, and represent BRIC in public forums. Propose new marketing strategies for partner content.
•Collaborate with other BRIC community media staff in other aspects of our mission, including content creation, public service, education, technology and distribution
•Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience
•Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
•Experience working in the video media industry or other related digital content acquisition roles.
•Experience working in collaborative ventures between or among organizations a major plus.
•Experience in grant management or grant-giving a plus.

Skills Required
•Proven project management skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills a must.
•Effective communicator in both oral and written format.
•Motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills.
•Familiarity with consumer consumption of video media on television, internet, and mobile platforms.
•Familiarity with public access television and the Brooklyn media-making community are advantages.
