Open Road Media is seeking a full-time Digital Marketing Assistant. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•Assisting and executing ongoing marketing plans that include promotional placement, social media, advertising campaigns, and publicity elements
•Generating reviews and publicity by sending ARCs, digital galleys and other related materials to appropriate media/bloggers
•Using social media to maximum effect for Open Road and our authors. Outlets include: Facebook, Twitter, Goodreads, Pinterest and Tumblr.
•Assisting with quarterly marketing reports and plans
•Maintaining online author presence and assisting with pre-launch activities
•Occasionally reviewing tasks completed by interns
•Researching new opportunities, media and platforms for publicity campaigns.

Skills required:
•Online experience or an equivalent facility with new media and social networking
•Skills working with a team and an ability to work within a large group, contributing ideas and taking responsibility for assignments.
•Experience with Google AdWords/display ads a plus
•Must have experience using Adobe programs
•Strong writing background
•Undergraduate degree required

Open Road Integrated Media’s marketing team bridges the traditional world of book marketing with the dynamic, fast-paced world of digital media. We leverage the worlds of social media, viral distribution and emerging technologies to market Open Road and its publishing partners' ebooks and syndicate Open Road's premium marketing content.

The department oversees marketing, advertising, promotions, and publicity, as well as technology integration across all authors and titles. Department responsibilities range from directly interacting with authors and conducting archival research to developing engaging marketing materials and finding online portals for video content to reach current and potential readers, to building and filling sections of the ORIM website with relevant content while focusing holistically on authors as brands.
