Under the guidance of the Director of Digital and Deputy Editor, strategize, oversee and help editors to program engaging social media content across all of Latina & TheLatinKitchen’s platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, YouTube, Pinterest, StumbleUpon, etc.

Research SEO opportunities (Including Google Trends, News & Insights) and communicate opportunities to senior and junior editors of the site.

Implement and maintain SEO/SEM best practices for & The Latin Kitchen.

Support editorial staff in writing, editing and researching for stories as needed.

Under the guidance of the Marketing Director, contribute social media promotional support to all needed advertising sponsored events/integrated marketing programs.

Provide social media “best practices” guidelines to the marketing department during the RFP process/when pitching ideas to advertisers.

Work with the marketing department during the RFP process in developing targeted and effective overall digital strategies (inclusive of social media but not limited to).

Work with the marketing department on all LATINA and/or TLK sweepstakes and promotions. Provide recommendations or “heavy up” support as needed.

Meet with the marketing and sales department weekly/status to distill new information/trends as well as keep abreast of all RFPs.
Must have prior experience with social media management and social media analytics. Experience with Drupal, Photoshop, TweetDeck preferred.
