Digital Advertising Account Executive
The News Journal Media Group, a Gannett Company, has an immediate opening for a full-time Digital Advertising Account Executive in the advertising department. This position is responsible for meeting and exceeding digital advertising goals on the local sales team for the News Journal across all digital advertising platforms. This position assists the local sales teams in developing strategies and sales plans for achieving period and quarterly digital advertising goals with cold calling including four-legged calls with sales team members, generating leads through client segment search, internet search, marketing lists, referrals and closing skills to further the growth of new accounts while maintaining the growth of existing accounts. Objectives include selling an effective digital product mix through the use of verbal and written sales presentations with strategies and ideas, conducting needs assessment interviews with clients and maintaining profitability by following rate guidelines and limiting sales error adjustments. This position must exercise effective planning and forecasting of digital sales revenue. Duties include digital training to sales staff, and expertise in banner sales and design, classified vertical platforms, Yahoo banner campaigns, and search engine sales optimization and marketing (SEO/SEM). Requirements:Requirements include 2-3 years of outside sales experience. A college degree in advertising/marketing or equivalent experience required. Individuals with experience selling multimedia sales with digital emphasis are preferred. This individual must have strong skills in planning, communicating, organizing, and developing customer relationships. Good written and oral communications presentation skills and general office skills are required. Proficient with computers, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Internet. (Windows environment and solid use of online for digital products and ads) Must maintain a valid Drivers License.
