Contract Content Editor
The RoleBloomberg has created a web-based information product, Bloomberg Government, that researches, analyzes and quantifies the impact of government actions on business and industry. It brings the same unparalleled level of fact-based, objective reporting and analysis to policy making as it has provided to the financial community for the past 30 years.Bloomberg Government is seeking a Contract Content Editor to handle research and analytic content produced by a staff of economists, financial analysts, public policy experts and industry specialists. Skills required include: editing for substance, organization and clarity; copy editing for style, grammar and consistency; and proofreading for accuracy. Our mission is to explain in clear, precise language how Washington works and the impact of government actions on business, primarily for corporate and government subscribers. This will be a 40-hour-a-week contract position.Qualifications: -Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience -Strong editorial skills and judgment -Excellent proofreading and grammar skills-Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-focused environment-Comfortable with numbers, technical language and research methodology-Comfortable with computers; knowledge of HTML and content management systems a plus-Background in business, consulting or technical editing preferred-Familiarity with a range of industries, including defense, energy, finance, health care, telecommunications and transportation, taxation and trade.
