Digital Media Specialist – Pensions & Investments

Pensions & Investments – the leading source of news, data and analysis for the institutional investment community – is seeking candidates for the position of “Digital Media Specialist” to join our growing and vibrant Digital team. The Digital Media Specialist is a multi-functional role that is involved in all aspects of the digital business including but not limited to analytics, ad inventory management, and front-end development.

We are looking for a talented individual to take a proactive role in suggesting and implementing site enhancements, designing and automating analytics dashboards and communicating key insights to the sales team, senior management and our advertising partners. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, capable of multi-tasking and must be an effective communicator.


Product Development:
•Generate and implement ideas for improving digital products and increasing site traffic.
•Create new section fronts, newsletters and article templates.
•Make site updates including publishing microsites, white papers and e-commerce products.

Analytics and Reporting:
•Create dashboards, reports and data visualizations that clearly summarize trends, insights and business implications.
•Compile, analyze and distribute periodic and ad hoc reports containing site analytics, email analytics, whitepaper leads and campaign performance to advertising partners, ad agencies and internal stakeholders.
•Recommend, design and execute A/B and multivariate tests leading to increased engagement with our digital products.

Ad Operations:
•Continually seek opportunities to expand the digital advertising inventory and communicate availability to the sales reps and the management team.
•Assist sales team with the digital RFP process (assess technical specifications).

•Knowledge of HTML/CSS (Javascript preferred).
•Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint and Word).
•Excellent analytic skills with the ability to identify and articulate critical observations and insights from complex data sets.
•Proficiency in at least one of the following platforms: 24/7 RealMedia Open AdStream, Omniture SiteCatalyst, Google Analytics, Cheetahmail, Marketo, Brightcove, Disqus.
•Excellent communication and client service skills.
•Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
•Professional experience with a media company, agency or digital consulting firm.
•BA/BS degree (quantitative major preferred).

•Ability to use Photoshop or other graphics package to create mockups.
•Experience with a programming language.
•Knowledge of statistics.
