The Strategic Marketing Analyst will:
1. Conduct market/economic analysis and primary/secondary research to align with mission, strategy and goals of the business. The analyst will focus on specified markets. Utilize local and national research tools and programs to compile and analyze data. Manage database initiatives to track consumer media and audience trends. Assist as needed on all sales initiatives, with cross-training on CRM and all marketing tools.
2. Lead geo-based marketing effort with the ultimate goal of supporting The News Journal Media Group’s efforts to increase revenue, enhance lead generation, and understand the needs of our target audiences. Communicate and coordinate needs through Advertising department and Marketing Director.
3. Support programs to grow revenue, increase aggregate audience, and increase online and mobile usage and revenues, by providing research and development and presentation material. Build presentations and presents information, research and ad concepts to clients.

• BS/BA degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising or related field is required.
• Five to eight years of marketing research experience.
• Experience in advertising, working with or for an ad agency or a market/media research company is preferred, but not required. Online advertising industry background desired.
• Outstanding leadership ability and excellent marketing skills.
• Excellent computer software skills and strong knowledge of Internet and Mobile applications.
• Excellent communications, negotiations and presentation skills and project management capability.
