Public Relations Manager – Glamour

Condé Nast seeks a Public Relations Manager for a full-time staff position.


Hands-on PR Manager needed for Glamour’s dynamic PR team. Responsible for strategic media outreach on a variety of Glamour initiatives, projects and events for editorial and advertising. Exciting position for an industrious publicist with solid media placement experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Participate in strategizing innovative publicity campaigns for maximum placements and optimum positioning
• Write press releases and segment scripts; craft pitches; disseminate information to trade and consumer media
• Book/produce national/local television segments; coordinate print and online interview requests
• Assist in managing outside public relations firms that are retained to provide support for specific projects and events
• Write talking points and prep editors/executives for press interviews, TV segments and speaking engagements
• Take initiative to devise creative new ways for Glamour magazine and additional brand extensions to reach out to media and consumers
• Serve as liaison with Glamour’s web and digital team for projects involving media and consumers
• Collaborate with editors to generate ideas that will go in the magazine; attend regular editorial meetings and weekly sales meetings
• Provide regular feedback to Corporate Communications about media monitoring and other PR related services which are managed on a corporate level
• Cultivate extensive relationships with industry producers/reporters and maintain contact list of industry reporters/producers
• Oversee media monitoring and follow-up; create regular press clip reports with viewer/readership statistics


• 5-7 years PR experience, preferably representing women’s lifestyle or media brand(s)
• Proven media placements and a portfolio of press clips
• Record of developing and executing successful media strategies
• Strong writing, pitching and interpersonal skills for communicating with media, internal depts and executive management
• Established relationships with print reporters, bloggers and national TV producers
• Knowledge of Critical Mention database and Cision and Burrelles monitoring services
• Ability to multi-task, work independently and think creatively
