The Assistant Direct Mail Manager supports Oxford University Press’s sales and marketing efforts through cost effective and innovative direct marketing to scholars, academics, professionals and general consumers. The primary responsibility of this position is to conceive and execute direct mail programs to increase customer acquisition, retention, and sales and adoption conversion rates.

Primary Responsibilities:
-Manage and execute OUP direct mail campaigns (catalogs, brochures, flyers, etc.) in a manner consistent with company revenue and ROI objectives.
-Develop programs to retain current subscribers and to acquire new subscribers with maximum lifetime value and minimal acquisition cost.
-Enhance the quality (both content and structure) of all mail sent to our lists. Ensure OUP brand is being developed.
-Continually test and optimize creative and offers to optimize retention, acquisition, and sales.
-Work with e-mail marketing and web marketing to convert direct mail customers to e-mail / online customers
-Develop metrics to measure effectiveness of campaigns in driving direct sales, retail sales, and higher ed adoptions. Prepare reporting to share with sales and marketing.
-Work with marketing in developing the product strategy/selection for all direct marketing campaigns.
-Work on test panning, budgets, list planning, and list count review and understanding how campaign analysis determines future direct mail strategy.
-Create processes, protocol, and schedules for all direct marketing efforts
-Work closely with e-mail mail, online merchandising, traffic generation, and exhibits to ensure all direct marketing is integrated for maximum results.
-Manages to assigned marketing budget and forecasted sales
-Project manages to schedules.
-Work closely with creative services to ensure design and production meet direct mail goals.

Job Requirements
-College graduate with a minimum 2+ years of direct-to-consumer marketing experience including strong experience in direct mail and a successful track record in maximizing campaign ROI.
-Excellent written, oral, and inter-personal skills.
-Capable of managing many projects and priorities simultaneously.
-Publishing experience preferred but not required.
