Sr. eCommerce Merchandising Manager
You are passionate about premium products across multiple categories (Music, Shopping, Movies, Security and more), and delivering consumer excitement, satisfaction, and loyalty across multiple segments and lifestyles. You are an out of the box thinker and are constantly innovating. You have a keen sense for consumer demand and excitement. You should have experience envisioning, defining, planning, outlining, and spearheading the execution of winning consumer packages and engagement. This role requires strong business judgment, understanding of current web trends and technologies, mastery of merchandising, pricing and packaging best practices, and a keen focus on consumers. You are someone with passion and obsession for building world-class packages and experiences, and who knows how to translate these qualities into winning Internet packages and experiences.
In this role, you will do everything from brainstorming premium products, packages and pricing to developing merchandising specifications working closely with product managers, business leads, designers and developers. Given the varying types of people you will work with, whether technical or not, the ability to communicate effectively be it in person, in writing, or over the phone is essential.
-Minimum 5 years of Ecommerce merchandising
-Passion for the commerce, web products & packaging
-Proven track record for maximizing conversion, able to fit in well within an informal startup environment
-Extensive experience with web analytics platforms and tools (Omniture, comScore, Google Analytics)
-Heavy understanding of SEO, Web Copy and Creative, Customer navigation and Landing Page expertise
-Heavy promotions and strategy experience as it relates to online space
-Solid understanding of customer needs, business goals and competitive pressures and the ability to convert those into product requirements and priorities
-Experience conceptualizing and implementing merchandising strategies across all platforms and devices
-Interest in working on problems that don't have an obvious solution
-Entrepreneurial drive and a demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast paced environment
-Excellent written and oral communication skills; superior organizational and analytical skills
-Ability to synthesize client feedback and internal recommendations into actionable product development plans
-Ability to balance technical and business issues as well as communicate appropriately with both technical and business experts
-Develop product, pricing, merchandising and experience strategies that drive revenue, traffic, engagement and loyalty growth
-Lead cross-functional teams to ensure timely creation and communication of merchandising strategies and plans
-Participate in definition and refinement of online shopping experience, including site architecture, browsing and buying features, product views and details, product descriptions and other key ecommerce elements
-Collaborate with Product managers for online merchandising efforts, such as product categorization, sequencing, cross sells, up sells, combo configuration and featured products
-Track merchandising performance and recommend revisions/improvements to Product managers and Acquisition & CRM leads
-Collaborate on relevant merchandising opportunities, creative, test plans, calendars, and messages: Maximize merchandising effectiveness through implementation of test/control & segmentation strategies
-Research markets and potential partners as well as competitors
-Build and launch new products and packages
-Define the pipeline of partnerships for consumer products
-Define package and merchandising vision and future direction
-Interface with Business Development team on sourcing of partnerships needed to bring new offerings to market
