Phaidon Press is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marketing Manager in the company’s New York office.

Responsibilities:

-Generate and implement marketing campaigns for Phaidon books and digital products in the visual arts, architecture, design, food, fashion, travel and children’s categories, but with a strong emphasis in the visual arts.

-Coordinate opportunities for the brand and Phaidon titles by executing partnerships and events with museums, galleries, major online and offline retailers, department stores, art fairs, media companies, bookstores, universities, and more.

-Develop comprehensive integrated marketing plans including online programs, video, and social media. Help develop content for Facebook, Twitter, and more working with editors on original content for all platforms.

-Responsible for coordinating all content for Phaidon titles on Amazon, BN.com and other major online retailers, as well as trade publications.

-Ongoing brand support for series, such as The Silver Spoon, Wallpaper City Guides, etc.

-Responsible for writing e-newsletters and database management.

-Build relationships within key communities/associations.

-Coordinate advertising campaigns and promotional material.

-Provide marketing plans and updates to the sales team.

-Offer support at trade shows and events.

-The Marketing Manager will report to the Publicity and Marketing Director, North America.

Essential job requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree required.

-The candidate will have over 6 years experience in marketing in a directly related field.

-Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain good working relationships within internal teams and externally with authors, customers, retailers and potential partners.

-Effective marketing skills, including experience of planning and running a range of digital campaigns, social media, advertising and events.

-Excellent organizational and time management skills, an independent work ethic, and the ability to prioritize effectively.

-Careful attention to detail and a high level of professionalism.

-A professional background working in the visual arts.

-The candidate must reside in New York City.
