The Role
This person will be responsible for search referral growth for all Consumer Bloomberg News properties including and They will work closely with Editorial, Product, Design, Engineering, Marketing and Analytics teams and be held responsible for generating and monitoring overall search engine performance.

Responsibilities include:
-Optimize on-site content for maximum visibility and ranking in search engines - including html code, site architecture, navigation, page layout, and design
-Provide guidance on page names and design conventions for new and existing web pages including mobile and multimedia
-Report on competitive keyword ranking, link analysis, search traffic referrals and other trends
-Stay updated on search algorithms and continuously apply the latest SEO techniques to the site
-Be lead point person with search engines to ensure sitemaps are submitted properly
-Work with Edit and Product teams on new projects, so they are optimized for search engines
-Run Edit training on keyword discovery and competitive keyword strategies
-Stay apprised and evangelize the latest search trends & search words that lead to our sites
-Generate monthly SEO Dashboards for upper management
-Educate various stakeholders on SEO Best Practices, including Business Development, Mobile, Marketing, Product & Design, R&D, Video, Edit
-Stay updated on the latest SEO developments including technical audits and evaluation

-3+ years of recent and relevant experience in search optimization, proven ability to achieve improved search rankings, preferably on multinational domains
-3+ years of recent and relevant experience with online publishing, preferably news.
-Proven communication, management skills navigating an organization effectively to get their priorities executed.
-Working knowledge of html, JavaScript and other programming languages, can effectively communicate with and drive changes with development teams.
-Proficient in website analytic tracking systems such as comScore and Google Analytics.
-Proficient with Google Webmaster Tools, keeps up with latest Google and other search engine algorithm changes, releases, rule updates.
-Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple products across multiple teams
