We are looking for a sharp, analytical, enthusiastic candidate with solid writing skills, marketing savvy, and an interest in creative problem solving to lead our site merchandising team. The Site Merchandising Manager will play a major role in creating, automating, and executing promotional, merchandising, and marketing strategies for Amazon's Music business, including Amazon Cloud Player, Amazon MP3, and our mobile application.

The Site Merchandising Manager will be responsible for developing and executing bold creative merchandising programs and will measure and analyze the performance of onsite, email, and social media programs. Additional responsibilities include partnering with groups within Amazon to develop and leverage marketing programs, identifying new opportunities that align to team and cross-company goals, and managing projects that rely on close collaboration with technical and business teams within Amazon. Candidates should be strong writers and communicators, great multi-taskers, should be comfortable with a varied set of software and editing tools, and should be effective, concise presenters.

  • 5+ years of expertise in product merchandising or marketing, especially in an online setting
  • BA/BS required
  • Experience managing direct reports

  • Relevant experience in retail or marketing with a proven history of delivering results
  • Superior verbal and written communications skills and extreme attention-to-detail
  • People management experience
  • Experience creating innovative marketing programs
  • Excellent project management skills, including work prioritization, planning, and task delegation
  • Proven analytical and numerical aptitude
  • Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • MBA or related Masters is a plus
