TechMedia is seeking a dynamic Content Director to lead and execute all things content related for our both our offline and online digital strategies best practice oriented conferences and events.

We are a small entrepreneurial minded group in the process of increasing the number of regional conferences we produce while building an online educational series (webinars, online events, etc) that cater to senior digital professionals. Our events cover the latest best practices and strategies on topics such as social media, email marketing, usability, design, analytics, search and mobile among many others.

The Content Director will be responsible for:

•Creating event content strategies in-line with audience demographics (developing topics, subtopics, event tracks, etc)
•Identifying and recruiting high level speakers from leading internet brands (100s of speakers over the course of a year)
•Managing speaker content to ensure quality and audience appropriateness
•Managing speaker logistics (both prior to events and onsite)
•Obtaining attendee feedback - Creation of surveys, study of event social media.
•Maintaining a detailed speaker database
•Developing the strategy for and executing webinars and other online event series (including working with, customizing and selecting online event platforms)
•Work with marketing team on developing copy and positioning events from a content standpoint

•Marketing minded - We are looking for someone who thinks and acts like a marketer. Not only can you relate with our marketing oriented attendees and speakers, you have the ability to develop compelling session titles and descriptions and write marketing copy to help promote events.
•Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - You will create processes and be responsible for large numbers of speakers.
•Strong work ethic and energy - Ability to work nights and weekends and do whatever it takes to get the job done.
•Positive can do attitude - As a small team, we all pitch in wherever is needed to help our fellow teammates and grow our business. We want fellow team members to have a "What else can I do to help" approach - as opposed to a "That's not my job" mentality.
•Good design eye - While you might not have graphic design abilities, you know and can help direct good design.

Qualifications:

•A minimum of 4 years related event/media experience
•Extensive experience in working with a variety of online event software platforms
•Up to date experience with most online marketing mediums and related issues (social media, email marketing, mobile, etc)
•Experience with Powerpoint, Prezi and Keynote
•A knowledge and working experience of general presentation best practices
•Excellent writing skills
•Ability to travel to a dozen or so events per year
