The ideal candidate will have an interest in issues pertaining to families. You will assist in securing broadcast appearances for a client who is a parenting/education expert whenever there is breaking news as well as write materials that represent the client’s expertise as accurate, interesting and relevant to national media. In addition, you will be responsible for content and strategy for the client’s social media presence.

What You Will Do:

•Ghost-write social media posts, blogs, articles for client in an effort to develop and illustrate her expertise to national media as well as create one voice for all promotional materials
•Coach client and help her become more familiar with social media
•Contribute to pitching and securing national broadcast placements
•Research ancillary media relations opportunities such as speaking engagements or securing a profile story
•Occasionally assist in securing national placements for other clients


•Strong writing skills, journalism background preferred
•Proven track record in securing media placements
•Knowledge and understanding of social media and how it can expand an expert’s reach
•Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously while maintaining deadlines
•Works well in a collaborative environment
•Proven ability to interact with clients professionally
