Job Description:National Journal is seeking a highly driven Marketing Assistant with a scrappy attitude and a love for the creative process to join its small but fast-paced marketing team. He/she will play an integral role in developing and executing marketing strategies targeting advertisers and subscribers. The position will report to the Director of Marketing.Responsibilities Include:•Contribute to the writing and creation of high-impact marketing materials, such as client proposals, presentations, media kits, sell sheets, signage, brochures, event invitations, digital and mobile content, and social media.•Coordinate with Advertising Sales, Events, Membership, and Production teams to create, edit, and finalize marketing materials.•Provide administrative support, including implementing edits, assembling print materials, routing and filing, maintaining databases, fielding incoming requests from advertisers, and other general administrative tasks.•Participate in staff meetings and complete follow-up activities and assignments.•Help to execute research and compile data that clarifies client needs and preferences.Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate:•Exceptional writing skills coupled with a creative, out-of-the-box mind.•Demonstrated knowledge of and passion for the digital media space, with an interest in politics and policy.•Graphic design and web design skills and familiarity with relevant software (InDesign, PhotoShop, DreamWeaver, etc.) are a plus, as are copy editing skills.•Results orientation and ability to help drive revenue to National Journal.•Bachelor’s degree, with an outstanding record of achievement.•Positivity, tenacity, organization, and “grace under pressure.”Atlantic Media Company is en Equal Opportunity Employer.
