Stanton & Company is looking for a high-energy, results-driven, ambitious Public
Relations Director to join our growing PR department. The candidate should have an in-depth
understanding of lifestyle and action sports industries, solid written and verbal
communication skills and a reputation for developing and nurturing strong client

The Public Relations Director must be a great multi-tasker, able to effectively balance
long-term strategic plans with day-to-day tactical project executions, and have strong
media relationships/know-how. The candidate will lead the strategic planning process
and continually develop and implement original, creative communication programs for
our clients. This position requires a candidate who has strong media relations’ skills –
especially in broadcast – a can-do attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced
environment, while delivering quality results.

• Formulate strategic direction for brands in the lifestyle and action sports
• Develop and execute original brand communications/storytelling while delivering
key messaging through broadcast, print and online media channels
• Create and execute original communication strategies; guide/assist clients with
key strategic issues on an ongoing basis
• Day-to-day Client management
• Proactive press outreach and pitching, consumer and trade (broadcast, print and
online media)
• Manage day-to-day aspects on key accounts, timelines, efficiency, etc.
• Manage and monitor client budgets to ensure a positive ROI
• Lead, manage and grow a talented PR team

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Demonstrated experience through consistently delivering successful PR
strategies vision and direction
• Hands-on experience with writing communications proposals and pitching new
business opportunities
• Excels in managing both strategic/long-term and executional/short-term issues
• Ability to prioritize and execute against multiple projects, including events, press
material development, media briefings and product launches
• Proactive mindset and approach, actively generating new ideas and
opportunities to support client objectives and narratives
• Strong media relations experience in lifestyle, beauty, health/active living, and
packaged/consumer goods (broadcast, print and online)
• Proactive, self-starter, multi-tasker

• Superior professionalism, discretion, and judgment
