E-Commerce Sales/Marketing Manager
The E-Commerce Sales/Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing a clearly defined marketing, communication and e-commerce sales strategy for all product lines that supports the objectives of sales, growth and visibility while ensuring a consistent marketing message and position for the brand. The successful candidate will be well versed in a range of on-line marketing and sales strategies, the rapidly changing trends in publishing and innovations in digital publishing and technology, and the broader trends driving change in our core markets. Must have demonstrated ability to think and act strategically while demonstrating the hands-on skills to create and implement innovative, effective marketing and sales campaigns. Responsibilities include:•Develop, maintain, and enhance relationships with key customer contacts• Identify growth opportunities and trends in the eBook markets looking for opportunities to recommend creation of digital versions of existing products•Manage marketing campaigns for e-commerce sales, including managing communication plans •Coordinate and brainstorm title-specific digital promotions with team members •Make recommendations on creation of •Build relationships with e-tailers and seek partnerships •Prepare and communicate accurate marketing information on our new titles to our key eBook partners•Manage and grow our brand presence on social media platforms •Actively sell all frontlist and backlist titles•Prospects new business opportunities •Monitor sales and metrics associated with all activities•Oversee the accuracy of title information in online databases and on bookseller websitesExperience:•Bachelor's Degree required •7+ years of marketing and sales experience in publishing•Experience in strategic planning and executing multi-channel marketing programs•Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality •Ability to wear multiple hats, be flexible, and work collaboratively within a changeable and demanding environment •Superb hands-on marketing copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills •Experience working with web content managements systems •Demonstrated previous success with social media, online, and mobile marketing strategies essential. •Strong analytical, planning, forecasting and budgeting/financial skills•Demonstrated interpersonal skills to establish and maintain strong working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external clients.
