Compliance Analyst II
The Adknowledge Privacy & Compliance Department supports all Adknowledge business channels and products, providing Internet privacy and online advertising compliance guidance regarding products and services. The team also interfacing with advertiser and publisher clients as necessary to address and resolve channel-related compliance issues. Our focus is on the evolving regulatory landscape and client requirements, the department uses proprietary and third-party technology to monitor media and proactively ensure product quality, while providing a high level of customer service. POSITION OVERVIEWThe Compliance Analyst II will be a key player on the Compliance & Privacy team. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day compliance monitoring activity, implementing compliance policies and procedures, and acting as a subject matter authority concerning Internet advertising compliance matters. This role is also responsible for monitoring multiple media sources for compliance with applicable laws and client campaign requirements; tracking, investigating and resolving compliance violations by working with account managers, publishers and advertising clients; and providing consistent, accurate and reliable compliance and privacy guidance and support to product channels as necessary. Primary duties include: •Proactively monitoring advertising traffic for non-compliant or fraudulent activity across various media including, but not limited to, display, email, search, and social advertising channels;•Tracking, investigating and resolving publisher and advertiser compliance issues quickly, accurately and effectively;•Interacting with internal account managers, external advertiser and publisher clients, and third-party compliance vendors in the investigation and resolution of compliance issues; •Thinking analytically to identify solutions to compliance issues and implementing appropriate, business-balanced measures to prevent them from recurring;•Analyzing large amounts of digital data including, but not limited to, click and referrer logs, and conversion reports;•Working closely with compliance vendors;•Preparing weekly and monthly compliance reports and special projects;•Performing strategic advertising campaign compliance monitoring using proprietary and third-party monitoring tools; •Clearly and effectively communicating investigative findings and necessary next steps to internal and external clients; and•Supporting the initiatives of the Privacy & Compliance Department.?Additional duties include: •Reviewing and editing creative and content for compliance with established guidelines;•Analyzing advertising campaigns for compliance with advertising guidelines; •Drafting and processing account termination notifications;•Providing additional support for email suppression list management and publisher vetting as necessary;•Working with Adknowledge sales, Finance and IT teams to analyze, investigate and resolve compliance issues; •Troubleshooting compliance reporting issues;?The Challenge •Delivering excellent, consistent and timely service to all business units and partners;•Making well-reasoned decisions and executing solutions in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines; •Skillfully balancing business needs with sensitive legal regulatory compliance requirements; •Artfully resolving conflict arising from competing interests of internal and external clients;•Working with large amounts of data accurately, efficiently and consistently; •Working well independently with minimal supervision while also being a committed team player. CANDIDATE OVERVIEWThe successful candidate will be a dedicated team player with at least: •A strong working knowledge of truth in advertising laws, FTC guides and email compliance regulations, including but not limited to the CAN-SPAM Act, CASL, Cal-OPPA, Higher Education Act, FTC Act Section V and other truth in advertising laws; •Highly developed logic, reasoning and analytical skills;•Previous experience with copy editing and drafting is a plus; •Excellent organizational skills;•Ability to prioritize tasks and handle a heavy workflow; •Strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to clearly and concisely communicate with technology/development, sales, advertising and publisher clients, as well as consumers;•A smart and adaptable self-starter who takes initiative to proactively tackle tasks, resolve problems and improve efficiency; •Solid familiarity with online advertising networks;•A strong work ethic and commitment to do what it takes to get the job done; •Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, able to generate and use pivot tables and V-lookup functions effectively;•Basic proficiency using Salesforce.com for ticket tracking and account management; and•Working knowledge of suppression file management products very helpful but not required."no 3rd party resumes will be accepted"
