Who You Are

You are an experienced life-style editor with a love for helping people have rich experiences.

You love – and know how to craft – communications about experiences. You have an eye for what makes for a good date, down to every detail. You can write compelling copy, work with a sales team to vet an experience and think in terms of visual representation.
You are looking for a new opportunity at an exceptional start-up.

You have
-Leadership skills. This role will involve helping to define an editorial voice.
-Exceptional writing skills, with an unusual ability to walk the line between reporting and merchandising.
-3 - 7 years of editorial experience.
-High expectations. The job is not done until presentation is exceptional.
-Mature and inspiring communication skills that can effectively convey an editorial mission to different stakeholders internally and externally
-Fundamental curiosity about the ingredients of a good experience -- the who, what, where, when and why underlying a great date.
-A perspective that enjoys thinking about the business value and know that the bottom line is the bottom line – and that voice is all you have.
-Drive to be the very best, every day.

The Job
As San Francisco Date Experiences Editor, you will editorialize the experiences we’re offering to our users. You will think in terms of copy and photos, and manage the creation process, which will include working with the sales team to set guidelines and vet opportunities, writing and editing, managing freelance writers and photographers, etc. You will be deeply involved defining the voice for HowAboutWe for Couples, and you will be the guardian of the brand voice, internally and externally.

-Competitive Salaries
-Sustainable Pace – Our whole team is committed to a full workday of energized work that includes breaks and no crazy deadline late-nights. Really.
-Health Insurance
-Ten Paid Holidays – Our office closes for all standard paid holidays.
-Fifteen PTO Days – We encourage all team members to take vacation and recharge.
