The Job
HowAboutWe is looking for a Content Outreach Manager that will drive reader engagement on all social media channels, as well as generate attention for our in-house content. You would be responsible for building an extensive set of relationships and partnerships with everyone from celebs on Twitter to magazine editors to restaurant insiders. You would also manage brand strategy and serve as a brand mouthpiece on all social channels. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of an emerging team at a startup with immense growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

The content outreach manager will be responsible for:

• Promoting and expanding the sites' content on all social media channels including Twitter, Tumblr and Facebook
• Serving as a brand mouthpiece on social media channels
• Creating and executing social media campaigns that generate substantial buzz around the brand
• Generating widespread conversations on Twitter, getting everyone from tech experts to celebrities retweeting our content, responding, and participating
• Building a loyal and engaged readership and social media following
• Developing lasting and reciprocal partnerships with other publishers
• Constantly innovating, and executing new ideas - should we be launching a new Tumblr? Running a Twitter contest?
• Making at least one new press contact a day
• Monitoring benchmarks/metrics for measuring impact of campaigns

• Bachelors’ degree
• 2 to 5 years of experience in digital media/PR
• True expertise in all forms of social media - you are the master who can pull Twitter's puppet strings
• A strong knowledge of social and brand strategy
• Expertise in social bookmarking sites like StumbleUpon, Digg, Reddit
• A strong editorial sensibility - you can compose the perfect witty tweet, and you know what writer or editor would be interested in X or Y piece of content
• Publicity-driven with a nose for news and trends
• A strong desire to have a major impact on a growing content brand
