Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor of Information Systems Management and Academic Coordinator*PAUL MCGHEE DIVISION*School of Continuing and Professional Studies*NEW YORK UNIVERSITY* The Paul McGhee Division of the School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) at New York University invites applications for a full-time Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor who will also serve as Academic Coordinator for the Division's B.S. degree in Information Systems Management. Responsibilities include teaching, curriculum development and revision reflective of changing industry needs, student advising, and oversight of adjunct faculty hiring and supervision. This is a nine month, non-tenured, renewable faculty appointment with administrative responsibilities. The position will be available September 2013. The rank of the position is dependent upon experience and qualification. **The McGhee Division for undergraduate studies serves a student body of motivated adults and transfer students, most of whom pursue their degrees while balancing work and other responsibilities. Many go on to further graduate and professional programs in the school.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate will have the ability to guide the academic redesign of the Information Systems Management major, provide innovative leadership in rethinking modes of delivery, maintain strong professional ties to the world of business and industry, and establish interdisciplinary collaborative ventures both within and outside academe.**Qualifications include an earned Ph.D. in Information Systems Management or a closely-related field, and at least five years of teaching and professional experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong global perspective of the field consistent with NYU's Global Network University vision, and a successful record of teaching, scholarship, and service. Area of specialization is open and the candidate must be able to teach a variety of courses in his/her specialty area. Expertise in data management, processing, cleaning, and analysis is desirable. Experience in designing and teaching online or hybrid courses is desirable. Prior experience in hiring and managing adjunct faculty and evaluating teaching effectiveness as well as experience in student mentoring and advisement is preferable.
