Major Accountabilities:
• Logging and overseeing the timely delivery of single title materials: art fact sheets, cover copy, front matter and back matter.
• Working extensively with Excel, in order to update and maintain daily logs, to ensure accuracy of information regarding status.
• Coordinating and following up with freelance copywriters and line editors to ensure high quality and timeliness. Recruiting, processing and training of freelancers required when necessary.
• Communicating, liaising and following up with NY Editorial, Managing Editorial and Production to ensure scheduling information is accurate, timely and of high quality.
• Working within multiple in-house databases to process projects electronically.
• Supporting the Managing Editor on special projects as needed.

Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:
• B.A. or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years previous experience in publishing, with an emphasis on trade book production.
• PC literacy with hands-on experience working with a variety of database and online programs.
• Highly proficient in Excel and Word (using Track Changes).
• Familiarity with Adobe.
• Ability to manage high volume of materials in fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Excellent planning, organizing and technical skills.
• Solution-oriented self-starter.
