Here Media is looking for an exceptional leader to manage the integrated marketing team and contribute to the sales and marketing strategy for the brand. The position combines creative “big” idea/platform creation, partnership development, presentation skills and program execution to leverage all assets of the Here Media portfolio and grow print and digital advertising revenue. Must be an enthusiastic creative thinker and team player who is resourceful, detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for strategic problem solving and will utilize a deep understanding of the evolving digital universe including research and analytics. Will report to SVP Marketing & Brand Strategy and will manage direct reports.

Job Requirements:

•RFPS/Proposal Writing: Responsible for responding to RFPs in multiple categories. Work with sales and marketing to develop succinct and compelling proposals that leverage print, digital, mobile event, and video platforms.

oElevating presentations and proposals developed by the Integrated Marketing team to clearly and concisely communicate the unique attributes and benefits of the Here Media and its ability to help advertisers connect with the LGBT market

•Presentation development: Work with creative services to create visually-arresting and compelling proposals, presentations as well as marketing and brand positioning collateral.

•Event Execution: Implements Here Media events (Out100, etc), managing day to day relationships with vendors and internal communications with sales to ensure events meet client expectations and drive revenue and press.

•Project/Program management: Responsible for managing the daily workflow process for integrated marketing programs including timelines, budgets, creative executions and follow-up on all deliverables. Manage long-term projects or special marketing initiatives above and beyond day-to-day responsibilities as assigned by SVP, Marketing & Brand Strategy.

•Client Meetings: Accompany sales reps and/or marketing management on sales calls to present marketing platforms and client-specific opportunities.

•Team Management: Work directly with the sales and marketing staffs to manage the day-to-day process and best practices for all client-directed proposals and presentations. Lead, motivate and support a dynamic team of marketers

•Research/Analytics: Keep sales team abreast of latest research and analytics to communicate Here Media’s leadership position within the marketplace.


•Proactive, smart, strategic, flexible, organized, creative partner who has
Minimum of 8 years marketing experience, preferably in magazine sales/marketing including digital media marketing experience

•Strong management and leadership skills including a collaborative approach to partnering with the sales and editorial teams, team members, advertising clients and vendors

•Exceptional proposal writing and presentation skills with extensive background generating multi-platform, integrated programs

•Comprehensive knowledge of various online advertising platforms, creative executions, and ad serving technologies

•Ability to interface with high-level executives, both internal and external

•Strong desire to work in a highly-collaborative atmosphere, yet be comfortable taking the lead on projects and giving direction to a team, where appropriate

•Superb writing and communication skills (B2B and B2C.)

•Extremely creative, resourceful and detail-oriented; able prioritize with ease in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

•Design-savvy and plugged into LGBT culture a plus.

•Proficient in Word, Power Point and Excel, knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop helpful plus.

•Clear understanding of media research and analytics (Comscore, MRI, etc) Ability to dissect, analyze and present both digital and traditional consumer insights research
