The Ideal candidate will have:
· Experience in an agency environment
· Proven track record of being part of building a digital department
· Strong strategist
· Ability to take digital knowledge and sell it across the marketing and/or digital division
· Strong experience working with large consumer brands
· Personal or working interest in the sports and entertainment sector
· Ability to sell-in digital concepts at the senior client level
· Foresight to help build a developing department in terms of talent acquisition, identifying developing digital trends and fostering knowledge throughout the organization
· Hands-on experience with digital and traditional communication disciplines and how it relates to brand goals (e.g. tweets, Facebook posts, Foursquare, mobile, etc.)
· Ability to educate and inspire Catalyst clients and account team members about best practices and emerging trends
· Ability to grasp complex concepts and systems quickly, and express them in simple ways
· Experience managing 3rd party vendors
· Strong business writing, storytelling, communication, presentation skills
· Proactive, self-starter who can work well both independently and as part of a team
· Organized, accurate, and has an attention to detail
· Understanding of measurement, website analytics and best practices for driving traffic to online properties
· Experience managing a product roadmap (preferably related to social features and/or applications), building a team, defining user experience, and leading innovation to improve the consumers’ experience.
· Experience with Facebook and Twitter APIs is a plus; must be 100% comfortable with the core technologies
· Strong understanding of the PR discipline
