The Sales Support Manager will manage and develop a team of Account Specialists as well as continuously update the workflows of their department so that they are aligned with the ever changing demands of the Library Sales team. Specific responsibilities include:
?Manage, mentor and develop Account Specialists.
?Evolve the department from 100% transactional work to a team that provides more value to the customer sales experience with the primary goal of becoming the premier Sales Support team in the STM industry.
?Simplify workflows in the Sales Support Department while working closely together with our technical team to systematize those processes in SAP.
?Represent Sales Support department in company initiatives.
?Negotiate and create license clauses that fit customer specific needs as well as the overall changing licensing needs of our customer base.
?Work with our Helpdesk on the development of simple and customer-friendly processes.
?Document and communicate all department policies and updates.
?Work with customers via telephone/email/in-person/etc. on a daily basis.
?Travel as required.
?Develop and produce metrics geared toward monitoring and improving the performance of the department.
?Report requested details to VP, Library Sales as well as others on an as-needed basis.
?Ensure that all established policies are understood and followed.
?Think creatively and work with an entrepreneurial as well as team-focused attitude.
?Any additional ad hoc duties as required by your manager.
?Bachelor?s degree with min. of 2 years experience, preferably work in the library sector.
?Strong computer skills in databases, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required.
?Exceptional organizational/project management skills.
?Experience with or aptitude for analyzing business processes and developing and implementing simple alternatives.
?Strong ability to collaborate with colleagues from international offices and across interdepartmental departments.
?Desire to overachieve.
?Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to hold a group?s attention.
?Proven ability to manage & develop others.
