Sr. Director of Marketing for a company in transition from Print to Digital.

Established boutique investment research firm is seeking a Senior Director of Marketing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing strategic and tactical plans designed to capitalize on opportunities and expand demand for the company’s well-established products and services.

The Sr.Director of Marketing will develop a creative, integrated, multi-channel marketing program to build brand awareness, capitalize on the Company’s reputation, and generate rapid growth in digital prospects in both the institutional and consumer markets including development of co-branding and other partnership opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have a broad portfolio of managing and leading all aspects of Marketing such as product development, direct marketing, social media, creative, sales support and marketing operations. A background in Investment Research is critical.

Responsibilities:

•Build on our base to develop a strong, qualified multidimensional Marketing team capable of supporting all areas of digital and print publishing marketing as well as custom research solutions.

• Implement and facilitate the annual marketing plan/budget to incorporate digital and print products.

•Build the Investment Research Publishing Brand

•Oversee and lead product development efforts.

•Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of the latest technologies (social media, SEM, SEO, etc.) and how to apply them in extending the Company’s brand and audience.

•Manage the creation of all marketing collateral and sales support tools, including presentations and case studies.

•Under your leadership, have your team write, track and deliver press releases promoting the Company’s products.

•Develop, plan and execute business development, educational and/or appreciation events for clients and/or prospects.

•Experience selecting, and managing relationships with, external partners (Centers of Influence) and key service providers (designers, printers, custodians, data aggregators, etc.)

•Implement a project management system with our Project Management Team for documenting and tracking activities and prepare performance reports.

• Analyze results of marketing & sales efforts.


•Develop, maintain and distribute a marketing & sales calendar.

•Work collaboratively across the company to help achieve goals for new business and client retention.

•Maintain knowledge of marketing trends, developments and best practices; in particular as it relates to Investment Research.


Requirements:

•Investment Research experience absolutely required.

•Broad understanding of financial planning, investment management and investment products absolutory absolutely required.

•Superior interpersonal skills, ability to interact effectively with Technology, Sales, Investment Research and Editorial.

•Superior communications skills: written, verbal and presentation

•Analytical, creative, energetic team player. Self starter, self motivated, able to work with minimal supervision

•10+ year’s experience in financial services marketing

•Proven track record of launching cutting-edge interactive projects.

•Experience working with a range of large budget projects concurrently with multiple work-streams and third parties.

•Results oriented, organized, highly motivated and detail-oriented with a high level of energy/high sense of urgency

•Strong understanding of information architecture and interaction design.

•Knowledge of quality assurance process

•Ability to communicate with staff at all levels.

•Proven ability to leverage analytics to inform and influence decision-making

•Ability to navigate challenging situations and make quick decisions.
•Expertise in digital usability and best practices

•Excellent problem solving skills

•Experience working in a fast-paced and high growth environment
•Enthusiasm to develop new insights into situations and apply innovative solutions to make organizational improvements while encouraging creative thinking and innovation

•Entrepreneurial and analytical; effective at managing change in a fast-moving and constantly evolving business
