Sports & Social Media Writer/Editor
Cut4 is looking to expand its short-form sports content offerings.Blog posts, slideshows, original video, photo lists, social media aggregation -- you name it, we're gonna do it. We just need funny, creative, up-and-coming writers, producers and editors. People who know sports and pop culture (but also appreciate a good cat meme), understand what drives pageviews and can generate a never-ending stream of off-the-wall ideas. Applicants should have online content experience and an ability to write quickly, cleanly and concisely in AP style. PhotoShop skills are a major plus, as is basic reporting experience. Gig is 30-40 hours per week, location in New York strongly preferred. That sound like you? Apply below or send the following to firstname.lastname@example.org:1. Resume and Twitter handle2. Links to three samples of your work (articles, blog posts, etc.)3. One or two original pieces, 100-300 words each. Any sports-related topic works, just make it witty. If we read it and think "Wow, I never would have thought of that, but it's hilarious," you're probably getting a phone call. Feel free to include links, images, etc. Any format we can access is fine.
