Pace Communications, a leading U.S. content marketing agency is now accepting resumes for a Content Director to oversee a multi-channel content program for a Fortune 50 retailer’s business-to-employee communication program.


The Content Director will work directly with senior Pace team members and client program owners to set the overall strategic direction for a program that consists of a monthly print and digital magazine, newsletters and cross-platform content including video, mobile, and social channels.
Specific duties include:
•Lead cross-platform content planning in partnership with video, digital, print and account leads.
•Oversee the development of content that is client mission driven, engaging, fun and that encourages audience community participation across platforms.
•Develop content proposals, editorial charters, reports and long-range strategic plans to support the client’s employee communications objectives.
•Develop and manage the content calendar for the program in collaboration with the print magazine editor and the digital and video teams.
•Strategize with sales and marketing leadership to devise opportunities for advertiser/marketing partner content to contribute to audience experience.
•Assist the online and print editors with content development as needed.
•Attend weekly client status calls and other client calls as required.
•Attend weekly Pace team status calls and other Pace calls as required.
•Supervise two senior direct reports, the magazine editor and the digital editor/community space editor.
•Stay abreast of trends in retail, content marketing and employee communications to inform a market leading lifestyle content program that heightens employee engagement and supports activation and participation from key marketing partners.
•Collaborate with account management teams to ensure all work meets or exceeds client expectations.
•Travel as required to perform above duties.

Job Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ hands-on experience in magazine or newspaper editing, with significant credentials in creating lifestyle content; at least 5 years in developing and managing digital content.

•Must be a strategic thinker who has a demonstrated ability to lead and manage content programs spanning print and digital executions.
•Experience and understanding of employee/corporate communications a plus.
•Excellent writing and editing skills and the ability to conceptualize, articulate and execute an editorial vision.
•Strong communication, presentation and management skills are required.
