Job Description

Government Executive is pleased to announce efforts to expand our Washington, DC -based advertising sales team. To fuel our growth ambitions, we are currently seeking a highly driven, bright, entrepreneurial individual with a passion for marketing and advertising sales to join us as a Sales Planner in this pursuit.

Responsibilities Include:

•Create proposals for key clients, in collaboration with Account Directors
•Conduct research on current and prospective clients and communicate findings to advertising team to assist in meeting client needs
•Manage positioning and production system for print materials; help coordinate magazine layout
•Track down outstanding creative materials for print and digital campaigns and ensure they meet our specifications
•Insert and assign new opportunities and leads into Salesforce. Manage revenue projections.
•Field billing concerns/discrepancies/requests as necessary
•Participate in advertising staff meetings and complete follow-up activities and assignments
•Work closely with the advertising team to meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals
•Serve as key point of contact for clients, agencies and prospects
•Provide support to the sales team including assembling media kits and marketing materials and maintaining advertising databases
