We are seeking a multimedia sales professional in San Francisco to focus on the sale of real estate advertising in the Western United States, specifically in Pacific Northwest and Northern California. This is an integrated print and digital sales position is focused on selling franchise advertising in The Wall Street Journal and The Wall Street Journal Digital Network. The territory has an existing account base plus strong focus on new business development.
  • Build relationships and develop a significant account of agencies and advertisers through cold calls, leads generated, and trade networking events
  • Position/sell WSJ products and services to clients by combining in both The Wall Street Journal and The Wall Street Journal Digital Network
  • Develop proposals, meet and present to clients, and close accounts; maintain a database of active accounts and revenue forecasts
  • Work closely with internal teams to craft integrated advertising programs
  • Negotiate pricing and placement for sales campaigns
  • Requires consistent achievement of quarterly sales goals and active management of/prospecting for new clients
  • Attend industry events and functions, some overnight travel required
  • 3+ years of advertising sales experience, ideally in the real estate or luxury category
  • Articulate with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Organized and focused on priorities that move the sales process forward
  • Creative thinker who can match marketers' goals with unique, affluent audiences available on our media properties
  • Ability to work independently and a highly motivated self-starter
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
