The Digital Account Executive will play a critical role within our fast paced advertising sales team, with a dual focus: sales planning and campaign management of existing digital accounts and developing new digital revenue through direct sales.

Sales Planning and Campaign Management:
  • Pre-Sale (gathering sales materials, utilizing research data and tools, creation of compelling media plans)
  • Fulfillment (processing orders, gathering creative, booking inventory in DFP, monitoring 3rd Party delivery numbers, proactive optimization for delivery and performance, reporting delivery for billings, managing day to day issues)
  • Post-Sale (creating comprehensive re-caps of campaigns including screenshots)

    Assisting the Digital Sales Manager with New Business Development:
  • Sell portfolio of digital products (display advertising, mobile and content sponsorships) to exceed revenue goals
  • Identify local prospects and engage agency and/or direct client decision makers
  • Plan, prepare materials and present at (1) face-to-face prospect/client meetings each week
  • Understand competitive landscape, and effectively differentiate the CSN media portfolio
  • Utilize research in presentations and interactions with prospects and clients
  • Accurately forecast revenue and manage pipeline of opportunities
  • Utilize reporting tools such as DART for Sales Managers, DFP, Comscore, and Google Analytics for special projects as assigned
  • Liaise with digital media team on behalf of the sales team, when appropriate.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance

  • 1-3 years experience in sales or sales support agency or publisher experience is a strong plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Interest in sports preferred
  • Proven experience selling and/or managing advertising campaigns understanding of and an interest in online advertising
  • Familiarity with Comscore, Google Analytics, or other audience measurement applications
  • Strong data analysis and problem solving skills
  • Polished verbal and written communication skills, with both internal colleagues and external clients
  • Proactive and highly organized, with ability prioritize effectively and remain detail oriented
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel
  • Working knowledge of DART for Publishers (DFP), DART for Sales Managers (DSM) or similar tools/databases a strong plus
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude and leadership qualities with the ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities a must
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, weekends & holidays
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment
