Dutton is seeking a Digital Marketing Coordinator to help create and implement creative digital marketing strategies for all Dutton titles. The Digital Marketing Coordinator will report to the Associate Director of Marketing and will work closely with marketing and publicity team to supplement online efforts.

Dutton specializes in small, highly successful fiction and nonfiction titles, including best selling authors such as Harlan Coben, Ken Follett, Eckhart Tolle, Tami Hoag, Eric Jerome Dickey, Linda Fairstein, Raymond Khoury, Jonathan Tropper, T. Jefferson Parker, and Kelley Armstrong.

The Digital Marketing Coordinator will:
1.Manage publicity and marketing campaigns for all e-only publications, including writing press materials, managing advertising, and communicating with the editors and authors on plans.
2.Manage and grow Dutton’s brand presence on social media platforms such as twitter, facebook, and tumblr.
3.Attend acquisition meetings to speak about Dutton’s digital capabilities.
4.Coordinate and brainstorm title-specific digital promotions with marketing and publicity team and with the Penguin Online Group in regular meetings.
5.Build relationships and seek partnerships with startups and book bloggers.
6.Tutor authors on social media campaigns and the best use of their websites.
7.Manage some online advertising for Dutton’s biggest authors.
8.Monitor sales and metrics associated with all activities.

•Excellent organizational, writing, and verbal communication skills
•Ability to work in a team setting
•Interest in digital market trends in media consumption
•Working knowledge of or experience with principles of SEO
•Strong working knowledge of marketing on social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr
•Strong interest in marketing and book publishing
•Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects
•Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
•Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and html is a plus
