The RealShare Conference Series, a division of ALM Media, runs 15 to 20 commercial real estate (CRE) networking events nationwide each year for audiences of 150 to 1,000 senior-level CRE executives.

We’re looking for a Conference Producer to assign a portion of these events, and to assist with producing elements of all 15 to 20 events. Chief responsibility is to serve as point-person and manager of every aspect of every event the producer has been assigned, from the pre-planning stages to the event day itself. This position requires travel.

A Conference Producer will:
*research CRE markets, property sectors, and deal types to familiarize oneself with each event’s specific audience and content
*keep abreast of news, property deals, and personnel changes related to the CRE topics covered by each event
*research competitors and keep an eye on their production schedule to maintain competitive advantage in an increasingly crowded events marketplace
*work closely with our meetings planner to research and recommend venues for the events
*develop original content by writing agendas, panel topics and descriptions, and marketing copy
*build, enact, and maintain a detailed marketing plan
*approve and record all expenses and come in under budget
*work hand-in-hand with a sales team as they pitch the event to sponsor prospects
*write marketing collateral including website copy, promotional emails, ads, sales flyers, and brochures
*recruit speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, advertisers, and trade associations
*vet and hire certain third-party vendors, including photographers, A/V firms, temporary help, and telemarketers
*serve as the point-person and on-site manager on the day of the event

We are looking for a professional with strong written and verbal skills to join our team. You must be able to multi-task and handle many moving pieces of an event, and more than one event at a time. You will also need to be able to spot "what's hot" in a constantly changing marketplace, and "who's hot" as a potential speaker or sponsor, through your telephone research and in-person meetings. The ability to conduct accurate research is paramount, as is the need to network and interact with highly respected industry icons. You must be able to work under pressure and have the ability to meet strict deadlines. Travel is involved to the events. A college degree and at least 1-2 years of experience involving conference events, market research, product development, or related experience with finance or general business is required. Commercial real estate industry experience is preferred.
