The Manager, Financial Reporting will be responsible for the oversight and coordination of financial statement analysis and key reporting metrics for Comcast Sports Net.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide and report variance and trend analysis vs. budget, forecast and prior periods
  • Analyze company financial performance against trends and budget objectives to drive financial performance
  • Design financial trend reports to identify performance issues within the business and risks or opportunities in current financial plan
  • Support functional reporting requirements and drive continued improvements in automating reporting and analysis
  • Work closely with accounting department in order to understand all aspects of cable operations
  • Support the forecast process and annual budget
  • Manage cash flow related forecasting. Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly cash flow analysis
  • Work with the NBCU corporate to identify and address accounting issues, including quarterly reporting requirements and requests from the corporate controllership group
  • Perform various and ad hoc projects and other duties, as assigned
  • Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance

    Qualifications:
  • Ability to work in NYC until June 2013 and to travel to Philadelphia periodically for training
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Proficient in Excel and SAP
  • Minimum of 7 years financial reporting and/or auditing work experience 7 to 10 years preferred
  • Excellent personal and communication skills required
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude and leadership qualities with the ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities a must
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, weekends & holidays
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment
