Nature of Work

This position designs and develops the graphic look of Interval International’s communications, reflecting the visual image of the company to our members and developer partners.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develops design concepts for publications, including brochures, promotional materials, advertising, posters, flyers, magazines, and logos, that creatively meet company goals.

Works with all departments to create materials fulfilling both their goals and the goals of Interval International to promote and service members and developers.

Creates innovative design solutions by researching industry trends in order to appropriately develop materials for the varied markets.

Uses typography that is consistent with company goals, yet facilitates understanding by all key audiences.

Selects visual imagery that not only captures the many benefits of vacation ownership, but also portrays Interval International as a uniquely sophisticated, family oriented, quality exchange company.

Combines written and visual design elements in a consistent manner to create a body of work recognizable as part of a single corporate identity.

Updates Macintosh computer skills as software applications add capabilities with each upgrade and becomes proficient with new software applications required for specific graphic needs beyond the basic core programs.

Works closely with freelancers and outside vendors to ensure that the final product reflects the original intent, the print production requirements, and the associated project goals.

Performs any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by a member of the management team.

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design, Communication Arts, or related field.

Must possess a minimum of 3 years experience in an advertising agency or in-house corporate department.

Must show proficiency with a Macintosh Desktop in the latest desktop publishing design programs including QuarkXpress, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe PhotoShop, Acrobat and Acrobat Distiller.

Must have experience in all phases of print production from simple 1- and 2-color spot design through complex full-color projects.

Must have experience in producing high-resolution, pre-press-ready artwork, including image retouching skills.

Must possess a Graphic Design portfolio.

Must be detail oriented and possess excellent organizational skills.

Must be able to set priorities, manage time, and meet deadlines.

Must be able to work in a fast paced, high volume creative environment.

Physical Requirements

Standing, walking, sitting, pushing/pulling, manual dexterity (writing, typing, fingering, handling), operation of automated equipment, i.e., computer.
