The Graphic Design Manager is located in New York, NY and will be a part of the Marketing group, reporting directly to the CMO, or a senior member of the marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for numerous creative projects for the large firm, as well as for individual business units and industry verticals. You will need the ability to maintain, fine tune and promote branding standards, as well as execute suites of materials. You should be comfortable managing scheduled and recurring tasks along with unplanned and rush projects, while maintaining an acute attention to detail. Experience managing graphic design projects in a professional services or corporate setting is a plus.

The Graphic Design Manager will be expected to execute design projects while maintaining the “look and feel” of the firm’s marketing materials and brand presence, including the website(s), e-communications templates, firm micro sites, advertising, collateral, thought leadership publications event-related invitations and signage. The graphic design manager will also be encouraged to recommend changes to the brand, and work with an outside agency to help us create a more uniform and modern short-term presentation.

Basic Requirements:
5-7 years of professional graphic design experience with at least 5 in Marketing is required.
A bachelor’s or associate’s degree in graphic design, or a bachelor’s degree in marketing with relevant graphic design experience is preferred.
Experience executing the design of full suites of marketing materials and editorial publications for print, email, web and mobile.
Ability to develop and promote the firm’s graphic design standards within the marketing and business development community.
Experience managing graphic design projects within a professional setting, preferably in the professional services or financial services industry
Ability to present creative ideas to management, promote marketing initiatives, and uphold branding requirements.
Ability to manage and complete projects as an individual and/or as a part of a team.
Candidate must have strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to collaborate and interact with all roles within the Marketing team, including but not limited to: special events, intellectual capital, digital, etc. with domestic and international counterparts for reoccurring and special projects.
Expertise in website development, design, and maintenance.

Technical Requirements:
Strong Adobe CS5.5+ InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator skills
Strong typographic skills, true understanding of type hierarchy and structure
"Keen eye" and exceptional design talent with strong drawing skills
Ability to apply constructive criticism to work to achieve strong and successful designs
Experience with mobile design is a plus
Experience with infographics is a plus
Knowledge of Dreamweaver and HTML5/CSS is a plus
Experience designing web applications is a plus.
Experience with print media
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Ability to apply creative skills to a strong and historic professional-services brand
Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge of design trends and techniques
Keep up with current trends in advisory/consulting services marketing
