Key responsibilities:
Bringing your creative vision into the iF brand elevating and developing the creative language as the company develops and grows.
On going creative concept development across site design and user experience as company and offering grows.
On going weekly layout compositions for site, newsletters and all new releasing site content.
Marketing artwork execution such as shopping newsletters
Redesign of blog offering.
Retouching and image manipulation
Photography, fashion and art history knowledge
In depth understanding of interactive design concepts

Minimum of 7 years experience art directing monthly/weekly publications both digital and fashion print.
Experience with high / luxury / fashion aesthetic
Strong understanding of graphic concepts, typography and branding
Experience and understanding of delivery formats (for digital encoding)
Rendering type and developing custom typefaces
Understanding of Interactive design concepts
Creative problem solving, idea generation active creative brainstorming and high collaborative with team members
Exceptional presentation skills and strong conceptual thinking
Extensive understanding of contemporary fashion photography and video
Ability to multi task and work on fast paced deadlines

Software and technical requirements
Thorough understanding of and excellent proficiency in Adobe creative packages including: Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver
Knowledge of capabilities and limitations of web technologies such as CMS, HTML, JavaScript, Flash, and CSS
Photo retouching, and color correcting
Adobe Acrobat, PDF, and Microsoft office suite
Tablet/ mobile design knowledge publishing a plus
Working knowledge of a content management system (Ruby on rails/ drupal) a plus.

Must be NYC based. No relocation or work visas possible.
