The Chronicle of Higher Education is seeking a Director of Product Marketing, Corporate Advertising to help The Chronicle of Higher Education provide best-in-class products and services to our expanding client base. The Chronicle is a progressive media organization committed to excellence in our journalism, technology and advertising product offerings.

The successful candidate will be a strategist with keen critical thinking skills, a mastery of marketing, and a commitment to creating new possibilities. They should be naturally adaptive with the ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving industry and lead a team through change.

Responsibilities of the Director of Product Marketing, Corporate Advertising include developing integrated marketing strategies to drive lead generation; cultivating existing corporate relationships in scalable yet high-touch ways; and creating ground-breaking products/solutions to help corporate partners to engage their target audiences. The Director will: implement solutions that help our higher education and non-profit corporate partners engage with the market; build and package attractive advertising offerings; and communicate those offerings most effectively.

Other key responsibilities include:

•Build the go-to-market strategy for new and existing products within the Corporate market and collaborate with our Marketing Communications department to execute effectively.
•Manage strategic interactions with the corporate market sales team and develop a collaborative approach to problem-solving and communication.
•Oversee methods for gathering, analyzing and delivering business intelligence and user experience data to serve our marketing efforts and evaluate product success.
•Lead the operations of the Product Marketing, Corporate team to ensure that goals and objectives are met in a timely, high quality fashion.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a related field; a MBA is preferred. Candidates should also have significant experience in strategic product oversight, managing multiple priorities, developing processes and systems for operational excellence and instilling a data-driven approach to product marketing. Management and leadership experience is strongly preferred.
