Nielsen’s Media Analytics practice seeks to leverage Nielsen’s world class media research assets to provide best in class custom analytics to media companies, digital & technology companies, agencies and advertisers.  Primary focuses are around cross platform measurement, effectiveness and optimization.  All across the world our associates help clients better understand audiences and how to develop and market programming and advertising solutions to please them.
Our Client Service team is made up of some of the greatest thought leaders and consulting minds in TV and Digital Media today. We work closely with people at the highest levels of our clients to help them make strategic decisions for their businesses.
The VP, Media Account Management is responsible for partnering with the most influential media and digital companies today.  You will be tasked with understanding client research needs and delivering high value revenue-generating solutions.  Each specific client engagement will give you the opportunity to better understand our clients’ unique business issues and identify the relevant solutions offerings that solve them. 
Job Responsibilities include:
• Developing a comprehensive and achievable strategic plan for the for Nielsen Media business ;
• Growing revenue through sales of incremental products within account;
• Developing and managing a large set of relationships at Executive Director and Director levels within the client organization to support account strategy;
• Leading client service activities, including training and support, for a broad group of end-users within the client’s network organization;
• Developing and presenting high-quality custom analyses based on data and methodologies
• Serving as internal thought leader around business applications of our dataset;
• Discovering and qualifying new product development opportunities;
• Spending 25%-30% of time on site with client.


• 8+ years in media or marketing research, for research provider, internet company, agency, other media company
• Strong familiarity with the media planning process is highly preferred
• Strong analytic aptitude with an eye for detail and a commitment to quality
• Proven experience collaborating with a wide range of internal and external clients 
• Detailed knowledge of traditional media and new media businesses required, as well as advertising sales research, media planning or marketing strategy development
• Ability to grasp new concepts easily, and be able to present them in a simplified manner to clients and potential prospects
• Prior experience working as a management consultant highly desirable
• Proficient in MS Office (specifically Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
• Undergraduate degree (Bachelor’s of Science preferred)
